What kind of son would I be if I did not write about my mommy on mother’s day? A bad one, and I’m not a bad son I’m a pain in the ass son. Now that I’m older and can look back at my time as a young child I have realized I must have been a huge pain in the ass growing up. Now that I work with kids every day that point is driven home each day. I see the kids doing stuff that makes me mad but at the same time I can remember times when I would do the same thing. What I’m trying to say is thanks mom for being such a good parent to me I’ve become a great person (if I do say so myself) but I’m not what I am today without you.
All that being said I think I’m going to be a pain forever that will not change. I could not count the times my mom has asked, “When are you going to grow up?” (even today). I think never that was evidenced last mother’s day when I gave her the best gift a son could give. I was working at the mother son fiesta at put on by the city of South Salt Lake during after taking our test shots I got a picture to take home and give my mommy just like in elementary when I would bring her home stuff I had made. It turned out to be the greatest mother’s day present ever one I wish I could top this year but it was too good to top.
Here is my mother’s day present form 2006 just what every mom wants!
Thanks mom for putting up with my shit for 20 years, almost 21!
